Kia's POV

Even after waiting for someone, he did not show up, and I began to wonder whether something was wrong. The boy had finished telling me his story, and now it was my turn. He looked at me expectantly.

"Before we have this very serious conversation," I said, "since he is not here, I think we would just do it without him."

I looked at him seriously. "Now, are we going to have to do it a second time because he is not here? Because you have two people to apologize to."
