LUNA ALEX Shortly after that we packed up and headed home despite it being one in the morning. During the duration of the car ride, I refused to talk with Ryan, him refusing to apologize pissed me off but him talking to be that way was unacceptable and I wasn't going to stand for it. "You're just gonna continue to ignore me." He asked through our mind link. Plugging in my headphones I used Frank Ocean's new album to tune him out. Hours had passed until we had finally made it back to the territory, it was early in the afternoon and because I was eager to get away from him I quickly changed into comfortable clothes and headed to the restaurant not bothering to tell Ryan where I was headed. It was going on two p.m. when I arrived to work. "Well look what the cat dragged in. Nice for you to come to work." Lily commented as I entered the place and immediately put on my apron."Nice to see you again Lily." I picked up a notepad behind the counter."Hey, boss lady." The twins waved at me. "
ALPHA RYANThree Months Later Slowly the pack began to rebuild and eventually things were back to normal- well as normal as things could be without my father and a dozen other pack members. My mother was still grieving and still remained in her room for the majority of the day, only coming out when I had forced her to. Lily, on the other hand, was blocking everything out as if nothing had every happened. She dedicated most of her time to working at the diner and into her school work, barely leaving any time for any regular teenage activities. The anger that I had towards my father was still present in my heart I would eventually have to deal with these emotions but for now, I was focusing primary on my pack and keeping everyone safe. "Any usual activities around the borders?" I asked Tyler at one of our daily meeting that I had put in place since the attack on my pack."Not at all, with the constant patrolling there's no way anyone is getting in or near our territory with us knowing.
Luna Alex"Dad hurry I was supposed to be there 30 minutes ago to help set up," I yellerd as I rushed to put on my gold strappy sandals.Today was my gradu day and I was once again gonno be late. I hated being late but when I woke up 20 minutes late I knew I would be. I tried rushing but I still wanted to look decent enough, after all, I was valedictorian and had to give a big speech."Relax we'll be there in 5 minutes." My father Mel said as he stopped in the car and pulled on his seat beat he started the car. I quickly put on my seat belt before pulling down the mirror to see if my makeuo was uo to par.Once that I saw that everything was in place I checked my phone to see multiple texts from my friends asking me where I was. I quickly responded to them that I would be there soon."Dad, I can't believe I'm late for my own graduation," I whined. Today was the most important day of my life and I was gonna be late. If it wasn't for all my friends insisting on going out on the town one
LUNA ALEXThe last thing I thought I would be doing today was burying my father. The only real family I had left, and the person who I admired and looked up to the most. Most importantly I didn't think my father's death would be all my fault.I wish I had woken up on time. I wish that I wouldn't have rushed him to drive faster if I hadn't done that he would have seen the car speeding our way. I wish that George Pullman didn't drive drunk. Above all, I wish my father was still alive. But he's not and nothing in this world could change thatHis funeral only consists of a few people considering my dad had almost no living relatives. The attendance list included myself, of course, my Aunt Elizabeth also known as Liz Liz's three children also came and m dad's chef Jack and his daughter Melissa who also worked at the restaurant and a few of my friends from high school also came to show their respects. My father's death had put me in a dark and lonely place. I wasn't interesting of going to P
LUNA ALEXThe next day when I had arrived at the restaurant there was a man in a suit sitting on top of his car. I didn't know much about cars but I knew his was expensive leaving me to believe that he was well off, and when people like him came to your door it wasn't always pleasant."Alex Anderson." I hesitantly nodded. "My name is Willie and I work at The Red Café. I was wondering if I could have a few moments of your time.""What do you want?" I asked uninterestedly as I unlocked the doors to the restaurant."I have an amazing opportunity for you. My boss is looking for a place to extend his-."This wouldn't be the first time that someone has tried to buy the restaurant and I know it wouldn't be the last. I had heard and seen it all. They would throw a big number at you, only to slowly decrease it as time went on. I really didn't need the headache or the drama."Sorry to cut you off but I'm quite busy and I'm not looking into doing any type of business with your boss. Thanks for th
ALPHA RYANIt had been a week and I still hadn't found my mate. I wasn't looking as the witch instructed me to do but there was still no sign of my mate. I decided to wait it out a little while before I continued the search of my mate, till then I would put all my energy and time into improving the restaurant and franchising it and of course the pack."Willie," I called him into my office. We had just opened a couple of hours ago and I was in my office filling out some paperwork and paying the bills."Yes." He came and sat in a chair in front of me. "What can I do for you?""Have you heard from that owner across town yet?""No, not yet. I left her a message and I'm waiting for her to get back to me."I smirked. "The human girls has you scared." It was a question but it came out as a statement."I'm not even sure that she is human, not with an attitude like that."I shook my head. "Send me the address I going to go have a little chat with her.""Okay Alpha, but she's going to be hard to
LUNA ALEXSpending time with Liz and the kids turned out not to be so bad. I was beginning to see some improvement in Liz, but I still remained cautious. This was not the first time that she had made it seem like she was changing, before resorting back to her old ways. We got to see the bears, tigers and the many different types of birds. Afterwards, we took the kids to the restaurant to get some dinner."Okay birthday girl, what will it be?" I asked looking down at her. "This." She smiled before pointing at the picture of the hamburger and fries."Okay." I wrote down her order along with Tom, Jerry and Liz's. I handed the order to Melissa."By the way, a man came by looking for you." She told me after handing her father the order."Who was he?" I grabbed cups and filled them up with lemonade. She shrugged. "Don't know he just says he wanted to talk to you."I groaned. "Please don't tell me it was that guy that was trying to get me to sell this place.""What? You're selling the restau
LUNA ALEXAfter a few minutes of Heather begging me I finally had agreed to talk to her. I unlocked the restaurant doors and we both sat across from each other at a booth."I loved your father." Hearing her say those words made me want to gag. She didn't love him, she couldn't have. How can you love him when you left him and broke his heart? "One day I met this man and I fell in love with him. I was given a choice-."Blah. Blah. Blah. "And you chose him, over me and dad." I finished for her."I did, but I never expected that you would be ripped away from me. Your father did everything in his power to keep you away from me.""Dad wouldn't do something like that," I said getting angry that she would accuse the man that raise me of doing that. "And even if he did, it was probably for a good reason. You're clearly an unfit mother." I knew those words were gonna hurt her, but I didn't care. After everything she put me and my dad, though, she deserves it.She was shocked by what I had said
