CAMILLA

He dragged me into the car, but before he could close the door, I halted.

“Wait!” I screeched which made him freeze, turning his gaze to me.

“What is the matter, princess?”

I cringed internally at Fergus’ words as he peered at me through the rearview mirror.

“Uhm, my things. I have to pack my things. And please, call me Mila.” I said when Fergus gasped, horrified.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that, princess. You are the Prince’s mate and I shall respect your rank above mine.’ He replied, bowing his head.

“He is right. You are a princess and will be respected as such.” Alaric said firmly, his blood red eyes glimmering gold, letting me know his wolf is on edge. I gulped.

“You also need not to worry about clothing, I will buy you a new wardrobe.” He said, about to get into the car.

“No!”

Alaric and Fergus stopped, looking at me.

“My mother… I left my mother’s locket in my room.” I whispered, tears welling in my eyes.
