Monday morning... Amelia's POV I woke up the next morning with a disturbing headache. I walked out of my tent after having water and cleaned the beads of sweat on my face. I did not have 'that' dream today but I wasn't feeling too well either. I know I need to jog. I wore the only black sneakers I have. That's exactly why I bought black, goes with everything (chuckles). I wore black sneakers and left my yesterday clothes on. I would have to change it today anyways, so why not sweat on it? I jogged for a while and was already panting hard. I need to do this more often but right now, I am really tired. Maybe another time. I walked back towards my tent but before I got there, "Amelia!", I heard someone call me and I turned to face the person with a quick frown on my face. I thought it would probably be Steve or the other one from that night but when I turned to look, the frown on my face quickly went as it came. I smiled. It was George. Among the few people who I relate to here
Amelia's POV I finished having my chocolate bars and rested for a while. I have to spend most of my cash, so I can get to that company George mentioned. I hope they would be able to help me. "Mom. Dad. Brother", I said out loud and tears formed in my eyes. I pulled my nose and fought the tears back. I have been fine all these years, I am fine now and I will always be fine. I stood up from my sleeping bag and took the last cash I had. If I would have to walk back home, I have to find this organization first and then think about finding a place to work later. I pray it's the right place. I hope they find the one person I have been looking for all these years. I made my way toward the tent zip and opened it. I walked outside and almost yelped when I hit something. I looked up and met a curious Joanna looking down at me. I straightened my back and closed the tent zip. "What are you doing here?", I asked her. "Where are you going to? In the afternoon, all dressed up?", she a
William's POV "Ignore her", I replied with a frown and continued walking. I could see Scott's surprised face but I do not care. She is not any of my business in any way. I looked back at her again and frowned. Why does she keep coming my way? I turned around abruptly and headed in that direction. "Sir!", Scott called out to me but I ignored him with a frown. It's not like I wish to do this as well, I just don't have a choice, or do I? I walked towards the small house that looked like a garage abruptly and I saw the huge man just entering it. He had not locked the door, probably to put her down and I went after them abruptly, Scott trailing after me. It turned out to not be a garage. It was just an empty almost dark room that was dusty. It looks like it hasn't been used for years. I saw him drop her down and turned around to look around the floor. He found some rope and was about to walk towards it and I cleared my throat. He turned to look at me and I smiled at him teasin
Amelia's POV I opened my eyes and the white ceiling welcomed me instead of the yellow one of my tent. I sat up immediately and my neck hurt. I think I had slept on it. I massaged my neck and furrowed my brow before my eyes went wide. This room... Why am I here?... How did I get here? I stood up quickly and went out of the room. I was rushing and I almost bumped into Mary who was walking down the hallway. I steadied myself immediately as I was about to hit the gold railings of the house. "Miss Amelia!", she called out immediately after she saw me with a smile on her face. "Hi Mary", I am surprised I still remember her name. I smiled back anyway. I saw her on Saturday and it's just Monday today and I am seeing her again? Seriously? "How have you been?", she asked, still retaining her smile. "Fine", I replied with a smile. "How am I here?", I quickly asked immediately after she finished nodding her head. "Oh, William brought you in. You were unconscious when he came in", she
Amelia's POV It had not been so long since I slept before I started hearing voices in my sleep. Seriously, who was disturbing my sleep? I almost cussed out. I tried to block out the voices but they didn't seem to be going away. Like that wasn't enough, I started hearing footsteps as well and I opened my eyes in anger. I looked around and realized where I was. I looked around in the direction of the footsteps and saw the back of a person. A male to be precise. And I know this much. That would be William, so I tried to call out to him. "Wi- William?", I stammered. I haven't gotten used to calling his name out loud, moreover to him. He stopped in his tracks and turned to look at me with a frown. "I see you are awake", he said, still frowning. I went silent for a while before I talked as calmly as I could. "I have to talk to you," I said and I could see that he was quite taken aback. He stared at me for a while before walking towards me. Now, I am surprised. I composed mys
William's POV I frowned at her and she frowned right back. Well, that's the least of my problems right now. "We need to talk", I said to her and she chuckled which earned a frown on my face again. "I believe we just did", she replied and I got confused. "Or did we not?", she asked, placing her hand beneath her chin and I placed my hands inside my pocket. "Oh, we did. Not long ago, in that living room", she almost shouted as she kept her hands down and her frown deepened. "Anyways, we need to talk", I said again. It's not like I care about all her fuming and all. I just want to talk about something, that's all. "Why would I want to talk to you?", she asked with a frown, placing her arms on her stomach and I sighed. "We are both going to gain from this, stop acting like a child", I replied and she scoffed. I could see the hurt in her eyes. Was I that harsh to her? "Oh, I am the one acting like a child now?", she asked again and I sighed again. "No, but I did not act like a ch
Amelia's POV When he told me he wanted me to get Bob for him, I felt so down. How would I expose a person from the trio squad? We are there to protect ourselves from the people outside not to rat each other out. What if somebody finds out that I was the one who had made Bob's location to be known? It would be really hard and uncomfortable for me to live in a trio squad. I had tried to reject the idea, I mean why would I tell him where Bob is? Well, not until he had asked about me being at the organization. I was dumbfounded. My parents and brother. That's why I was there. He even offered to help me with finding them. I thought about what Joanna said about asking him for help. This is not even asking him for help, he is offering to. Well, he is asking for something in return as well; Bob's location. I thought about it for a while before raising my head to look at him. I have to find the person who murdered my parents. I have to. It's the reason why I have been alive all these yea
Willaim's POV I saw Ame- Amelia come out of the kitchen. She was about to talk when I had a high-pitched voice calling my name behind me. Oh, I know that voice and I have not heard it for a long time now. Mia. I turned to look at her in surprise and no doubt, I was surprised Leo came with her as well. I turned back to look at Amelia and I saw her taking her purse. I was about to talk when I heard Mia's footsteps behind me. Oh God! "William! I have been calling you for a while", she whined and I just rolled my eyes. Mia took her seat on one of the dining chairs; the one on my right to be precise and Leo walked over as well. I turned my head back to look for her. She might have gone to the sitting room to give us someplace but I did not see her anywhere in the sitting room. She was gone. The door confirmed my thoughts as it closed steadily. My lips slanted a bit and I turned to face Mia and Leo back. "Yo man!", Leo greeted, stretching his knuckles towards me and I met him wi
