Amelia's POV "Why are we here anyways?", Mia asked as she sipped her juice. "Why? Can I not call you guys over without having anything in mind?", William asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist. I slapped his arm off immediately and he quickly removed it. He looked at me and I glared back at him. I won't forgive him for saying something so embarrassing in front of Mia and Leo that easily. "No, you can't" "No, you can't", Mia and Leo said in unison and they did a high-five. I just chuckled at it. "Since you guys want me to bring it forward then", William said with a helpless sigh before going on his right knee in front of me. "What are you doing?", I asked with wide eyes as I looked at William in front of me. "I don't have the best proposal lines and I don't know the catchy ones", William said with a chuckle, and my eyes watered. Is he trying to propose right now? "I know we have gone through a lot together, Amelia. So many deaths, so many arguments", he continued and he
EPILOGUE TWO YEARS LATER... Amelia's POV I sat on the bed as I went through my phone and William walked out of the bathroom. It's been one and a half years since we got married and I started sleeping in William's room as well since the time we got married. William came over to me before kissing me on the lips. "You are awake", he said and I hummed. "You are ready for work as well", I stated and he smiled. "Almost", he replied before walking into the closet. He came back outside in his already neatly tailored suit and walked to my side. "How are you doing?", William said to the bump that is high in front of me. "Make sure to treat mummy well", he said again and I felt a kick in my stomach. "He has heard you, William", I told him as I gave him a small smile. "Alright, take care of yourself", William told me before kissing my lips again. "I hope you know that I have not brushed my teeth", I told him with a grin and he pecked me again. "I don't care", he replied with a grin
It was night time but the moon shone so brightly, you could almost think it was daytime already. Amelia and Joanna sat down on a bench, beside Joanna's tent in the trio squad. A/N: Trio squad is just a name I have formed for the place Amelia and other homeless people live. "How was work?" Joanna asked "Nice, same as always," Amelia replied "That's great," Joanna said, looking down at her fingers. "Yeah," Amelia replied The two of them went silent as they stared into the night sky. It looked so calm up there. Amelia contemplated a lot in her mind if she should tell Joanna about her resignation from work that day. It wasn't like a resignation, it was just her being tired of it all and shouting at her boss that she did not want to do the job anymore. Her boss was taking too much advantage of her. "I have to tell you something," Amelia finally said "Really? What is it?" Joanna asked as she turned to face her properly. "Not now, maybe later. I have to get some apples
Amelia woke up the next morning with her head hurting badly. She winced and touched her cheek. It still stung a little. She chews on her teeth a little before opening her eyes slowly. It took a while for her eyes to adapt to where she was and when she did, her eyes widened in surprise. "Where is this place? Where am I? What room is this?" She muttered as she gripped her hair tightly. She slowly remembered all that had happened yesterday. The drunk men and then, she remembered slapping one of them which she got a huge blow in return. Her eyes quivered as she remembered a man in a suit fighting the men who had wanted to rape her. She opened her eyes back because that was all she could remember and not even so clearly. Of course, the men from the trio squad won't be able to afford a room like this. It was that man, that man brought her here. She frowned at that. How could he just take people somewhere without their consent? She looked around the blue-painted room and smirked. "
Amelia's POV That jerk, whom I am just realizing I do not know his name left the room. I sat back down on the bed. I feel stressed so early in the morning. 'Wait, was I a little too mean?' I could not help but think. 'I mean he did help me but that does not mean he had the right to bring me to his home,' I thought again and rolled my eyes at the thought. 'He was only trying to protect you. He is a gentleman,' another side of me said and I heaved a sigh of frustration. What is this? Now, I feel bad. I agree that I was a little over the top. 'Should I apologize to him when I see him?' My mind was still trying to figure out what to do when the door opened for the third time today. 'Who is it this time?!' I almost lashed out. A middle-aged woman walked in. She looked like a woman in her late forties. She wore a brown woven turtle neck top and a black skirt. She held a bowl in which its content, I knew nothing of. She walked towards the window and my curiosity kicked in. 'Who
Amelia's POV I finished having my bath and walked out of the bathroom, humming a song I used to listen to when I was still working for Chris. I walked out in a bathrobe and that was when I realized I had no clothes. I went back to the bathroom to get my clothes and realized they were already soaked from that stupid shower. "Oh gosh!" I could not help but groan out loud. I walked back into the bedroom and walked towards the two wooden doors I saw earlier. I opened it and my head went blank. Empty. It was all empty. Not even a single gown was in it. I feel like that man did it on purpose. What am I going to wear? I walked to the bedroom door and opened it a little bit. Maybe I could get Mary to help me with it. I looked around and there was no sight of anyone. No sight of HIM. I walked slowly out of the bedroom with the white bathrobe hanging on my body and looked around as I walked. I got down the stairs and there she was. Mary moved around the room, towards a destination I
William's POV I worked for a long time at the company, and the door to my office opens every once in a while when my secretary has something to say to me or needs my consent. Before I knew it, it was time to go home. I stood up from the chair and stretched a bit before making my way out of my office. My secretary (female) stood up to greet me immediately and I just faced my front. Just like the typical CEO that I was. The people who works for me whose offices were in an open space really near my office all stood up to greet me as well and I nodded my head a bit. My assistant and driver, Scott (male) followed after me quickly as we made our way toward my private elevator. That's right, a private elevator. I went into it and he took the public one. When we got to the first floor after a minute or so, the workers on my path quickly cleared the way and bowed as they moved to the side while I just walked nonchalantly outside. The security and greeters in their white tops and bl
Amelia's POV "Run! Run! Run, Amelia! Go!", the memories were stuck in my brain as I pictured it in my head like it was just yesterday. I whimpered as I sat with my knees up against my chest in this dark infinity room. It had no walls. No affection, nothing! "Amelia!", a very concerned and demanding voice called. It kept disturbing me as I moved my head vigorously to get the sound out of my head. The call was killing me. It was disturbing my peace. Why can't 'they' just leave me alone?! Suddenly, my eyes opened and I stared at the yellow roof of my tent. It was a dream. It was all a dream. I sat up and cleaned the beads of sweat on my forehead with my hand. "Amelia!", the call came again and I recognized it instantly. Joanna. She is probably the one whose voice I had heard in my dream just now. I stood up, bending my back a little, so my head won't touch the roof of the tenth. I pulled at my zipper; opened the door of my tent and looked outside at the worried Joanna
