"Good morning sir." I said as Mr Tayo walked into the office. I got to the office earlier today as there was no traffic congestion on this Thursday morning.
"Good morning Wunmi, how are you?"
"I'm fine." I gave a small smile.
"Okay, meet me in my office when you're through." He smiled and walked into his office.
*What's up? What’s happening when I’m through*? I thought to myself. Then I remembered the day was Thursday. I didn't notice because there was no environmental sanitation this morning. I finished what I was doing and walked to the door. I knocked and waited till he asked me to come inside.
He was taking his coffee just like every morning. His shirt was well pressed like every
time except that this time, he folded the arms of the shirt and I saw a tattoo drawn on his hand, revealing a bit."*I'll draw a tattoo one day, I'll even write your name*." I remembered Tayo's words. It was during one of our common discussion. We were talking about tattoos that day. I stared at Mr Tayo.
*Why do they have so much in common, could they be the same person? Should I ask him if he is the one?*, I thought to myself.
"You know you can always take a picture." Mr Tayo said jolting me out of my thoughts.
I closed my eyes for a second and opened it back. "You said I should come when I'm through, so I'm here."
"Yeah, today's the day for the presentation to Honey computers. I’ll be doing the presentation, I just want to ask about the time and if you’ve made the details."
I nodded "Yes. The meeting has been called since yesterday. It would be starting by 12pm today."
"Uncle Kayode said you and I should go. He said it would help you to know how our meetings and presentation." He looked at the watch in his wrist. “We should be leaving now, the traffic on the Third Mainland bridge will be much now.”
My heart skipped a beat for once.
*I'll be with him today, for the whole day? Wait we're going to work so stop thinking nonsense, it’s not like anything was going to happen*. I thought to myself."Okay sir. I'll go prepare and I'll call the driver to get ready." I said and I got ready to go out of the office.
"No," he shook his head. "We're taking my car, so no need to call him."
"Okay." I turned and left the office.
*Time skips*
We've left the office for more than three hours now and we’ve just crossed the bridge. It's almost 11:30pm and we are stuck in another traffic in Lagos Island
"Mr Tayo," I called and he looked at me briefly, then he concentrated on the road. "What do you think we should do? It's almost 11:30 and we shouldn't be late, the meeting should be starting soon."
He looked at me and raised his brow. "Do you think I want us to be late?"
*I didn’t mean it that way… Na me fuck up.*
"No." I shook my head, frowning slightly at his answer. "I just thought, why don't we find a parking area, we'll park and walk to the company. It's kind of a fifteen minutes walk from this place as my map says." I looked at my phone, to confirm if I was right.
Mr Tayo smiled at me. "You're right, why haven’t I thought of that?"
He reversed a bit after honking then turned to the other lane to find a nearby parking lot. We paid for the space and took our important belongings from the car.
We walked to the company and in less than ten minutes I was already tired. I had to place a fake look on my face to hide my tiredness.
*Who asked me to bring this stupid idea?*
I heard Mr Tayo chuckle as we walked into the company. "What happened sir?"
"You brought the idea of walking and you're the one getting tired already." he replied.
I frowned at him. "I'm not tired."
He collected the bags from me. "Let me help you with that, don't die before we get there." He laughed.
I gave a small laugh and mouthed a thank you.
Not long after, we got to the company, rested for a while before the meeting started. I joined in the meeting but didn't do much except to help Mr Tayo.
The meeting and presentation was done and everyone went out of the board room including Mr Tayo who went to talk to one of his friends. I waited in the board room while I reminisced on what happened as we left the office.
I and Mr Tayo walked out and got to the reception. Natasha who frowned at me the other day, jumped up and hugged Mr Tayo. I could swear I was a bit hurt as he hugged her back but I shook it off, it's just a hug and
it's not like we're dating or something.*It’s not like actually care if they are dating, he’s just my new boss*. I reminded myself.
*He might also be Tayo, and that would hurt you more than a bit*, My subconscious said to me.
I've noticed all these past few days that Natasha always flirts with Mr Tayo but it's not my problem as I keep telling myself except if I start liking my boss and that would be worst thing that would ever happen to me.
"Wunmi." Mr Tayo called.
I jolted out of my thoughts and stood up abruptly.
"Are you okay?" he asked, concern laced in his voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I replied and gave him a smile. This could have been the perfect time to ask him if he was the Tayo I knew before. But I couldn’t bring myself to ask, "Let's go." I finally say.
He took his bag while I took my then we walked outside. I noticed his car was already outside. "When did you bring it?"
"When you were still inside, I asked a friend to take me there. I didn't want you to faint before we get back to the car. Lazy girl." he laughed.
"Let's go eat before going back." The Lazy girl word he said reminded me of Tayo.*What was that? Is Tayo really coming back or I’m losing my mind.*

This is in Wunmi’s pov"Good morning." I said to Natasha as I walked inside the office building. She didn't answer me as usual, then I walked in thinking about why she's like that. I almost wished I didn’t say a word to her, the scowl on her face was scary as hell, almost seem like a bad luck for a new morning."Good morning Wunmi." Caroline greeted me, making me realize I already walked past her without noticing it.I turned and gave her an apologetic smile. "Good morning, Don’t be annoyed.""What were you thinking?""It's about Natasha,” I frowned. “She hasn't been nice ever since I got here, I don't know why?"Caroline laughed. "So you're putting that girl issue in your head, Don't mind her it's her own problem. That's how she is sometimes, I mean most times." She chuckled."I really don’t understand her, anyways I’ll see you at lunch." I shrugged and walked into my office.Mr Tayo w

I didn't want to but she forced me to do a makeup simply because it's my first date.I wriggle my tongue at her and collected the mirror from her, I looked into it and saw my reflection."Lara!" My eyes widened. "What have you done to my face?""It's makeup." She answered coolly, as if she never did a thing."Hey! All my face has changed, I don’t look like me." I frowned, still looking in the mirror at myself."Yes, that’s why it is called makeup, what do you expect?” Lara smirked. “You look stunning, I bet Tayo's jaw will drop when he sees you."I shook my head and sighed. "Even this date, it’s like you’re the one who is going with all the preparations you’re making. You forced me to practically dress like a bride.""Ha! The wedding? I won't do that make u
*This is in Wunmi’s pov*It's been more than a month that Tayo and I have been together. I didn't have a problem telling everyone and no one has a problem with us being together except Natasha. Uncle Kayode said. “The way you two were both staring at each other was weird for people who just met.”We all laughed and I responded. "There wasn't anything Uncle, he was kind of mad at me on the first day we met, I don’t even know why.""All I know is that I saw that there was something or there would be something between you two someday, and don't tell me there was nothing because I'm older than you all and I can see something you all ca
*This is in Third person’s pov*"I've brought the meat!" Tayo announced as he entered the kitchen."Is that why you're now shouting?" Wunmi said and collected the bag from him."Lara, please wash this meat, I'll slice the vegetables and fry them.""Okay." Lara opened the bag. “This is very much.”"Everything is not for the fried rice, some are for the 'Asun' (Barbecue).” Tayo said."Hello Mister," Lara faced him, frowning. "Don't give me headache here please, take the ones you want to use and go outside to grill them.""Okay ma." Tayo collected the bag from her and took the meat he needed then he went outside.Tayo, Wunmi and Lara were preparing food as Ade was arriving from Port Harcourt that morning."Are we going to take him from the airport or he's coming here from there?" Lara asked."Oh yeah, I didn't even ask Tayo about that." Wunmi peeped through the kitchen window and noticed Tayo
This chapter is in Wunmi's p.o.v Tayo and I just got back from the office and we met all the lights in the house off. "Ade." Tayo called. "Lara?" I walked to the switch and turned on the light. We saw Lara and Ade on the couch, cuddling and asleep under a blanket. I burst into laughter as the scene in front of me is really funny. Tayo joined me later then he put his hand on my lips. "Shush, get water from the fridge." I tiptoed carefully and got the cold water then I gave it to Tayo, we moved closer to the sleeping couple, shifted the blanket and Tayo poured the water on their faces. "Hey!" They yelled and got up immediately. I and Tayo stood there and started laughing at them. "What did you do that for?" Lara glared at the both of us. I collected the cup from Tayo and dropped it on the table. "There are a lot of r

"Lara is posted to Lagos while I have to go to Abuja." "Ohh." Lara put her hand on her mouth. "Seriously, I don't know if I should be happy or sad right now." She said. I grinned, "I like Abuja better, it's better than being posted to those further Northern states." Lara nodded her head and stood up to collect the paper from me. "And another news." I looked at their faces. "This isn't for you two, it's for Tayo." "What's it?" Tayo asked. I turned my back and pulled my hair to the front "The tattoo." Tayo laughed and carried me up "You're really crazy. I didn't know you meant it." "Wow." I heard Ade and Lara say. I turned and looked at them "What's wrong?" "So, you two did tattoos writing each other names in it?" A
