Chapter 15: The Alpha's Heart Beat

"I remember when my heart used to beat the same way for your mother, but I made her die." Alpha's Bolin father began to cry, and abruptly, his head turned to his father.

"Leave now," the alpha yelled at me as he hurried to console his father.

I sprinted to the door, and as I shut it, I saw the alpha holding his father in his arms with closed eyes.

I went to my room and stood at the window, looking out, remembering the heart rending image of him holding his father tightly in his arms. I wrapped my arms around me, wishing he cared about my tears the day he rejected me.

Shortly thereafter, the door burst open, and my arms fell from my shoulders. I was flabbergasted to see it was the alpha. As he entered my room, he slammed the door. He quickly came over to me, and I backed into the window. He grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me towards him. My right hand touched his hard and bulging left side of his chest as he did.
