Layke had spent the next few hours pleasuring Belle until she had basically forgotten her own name. Whilst his over possessive tendencies were rather annoying, if this was the outcome of those tendencies then Belle didn’t mind the result. It had driven Layke crazy when Prince Henrie declared her as his mate, he was ready to kill the fucker for even thinking the thought. All he could think about from that moment was locking Belle in her room and reminding her exactly who she belonged too. And he did, over and over again until that pretty little mouth had lost its voice. Of course, she’d put up a good struggle in admitting she was his, calling him every name under the sun when he teased her, keeping her hanging on the edge until she finally accepted she was his, and his only. Layke wouldn’t be surprised if the help had thought he’d been hurting her with the way she called him a “mother fucking, cock-sucking, son of a bitch.” Layke couldn’t help but chuckle at the memory. Things were

Belle wandered through the tunnels of the cave, when she hoped to return here she hadn’t expected it would be merely a week later. Nia was pacing within her, anxious to get on with it, desperate to see if Layke could live up to his word when he promised his dominance. Belle, on the other hand, was sceptical still. Layke dropped their bags in the living room with a loud thud as his phone began to ring. Belle turned to face him with a smirk, “need to get that, Charming?” She was challenging him and he knew it, he quirked his brow at her. She had no idea how wrong about him she was. He could also sense how hard her wolf was riding her to have him, but Belle had promised him a struggle. He glanced at his phone, he really didn’t want to answer right now but when his saw his father’s name on the caller ID, he figured he better. He glanced at Belle expectantly before nodding towards the tunnel which led to their bedroom. “I’ll be following you in there in 10 minutes. We’ll let the struggli

“How does it feel to have a female who won’t bow down to you?” Beau’s grin was roguish. It had been a week since Layke and Belle had returned from the cave and we’re officially marked. Of course, wearing Layke’s mark didn’t make Belle any less of a pain in his ass. Layke returned the grin, sipping on his coffee. “It makes life interesting.” Very interesting. Layke had noticed, over the last few days, his need to be affectionate with Belle had dramatically increased. He couldn’t walk past her without nipping her lip or pulling her body against his, he was completely infatuated and it was driving him crazy, though he put it down to the fact that they had now mated. “How are those marks healing, Belle?” Rai grinned at the feisty Queen, who shot daggers in return. It was still morning and Belle hadn’t defrosted yet. “And I thought I looked badly marked up on my claiming night,” said Isla with a soft laugh, as she swooped in to sit on Rai’s knee. Layke shrugged, sinking back into his

“Did he say why he wanted to meet us here?” Belle asked, tapping her finger against Layke’s desk impatiently. Layke shook his head. “He said the attack was over shortly after it had begun.” Rai slumped into one of the chairs. “Did he say anything about casualties?” “No,” Layke replied. “Just that they had been attacked and to meet him here.” Immi tilted her head in thought. “Perhaps the witch we were tracking today was there. That would explain why she wasn’t home.” Belle frowned, leaving Layke’s side, sitting beside her friends. “Perhaps.” Layke narrowed his eyes at her, instantly missing her closeness. God damn mark. Before anyone could raise any further questions, the door to Layke’s office swung open and Prince Henrie marched in. His auburn hair was scrapped back, frown lines creasing his face. He appeared stressed, but not as stressed as one should be when their entire kingdom was just attacked. Prince Henrie stepped to the side, allowing a petite raven-haired woman to ste

Feeling somewhat anxious, Belle excused herself from her husband’s office once their guests had left. She had so much on her mind as of late and the stress was starting to build within her, she needed to get out for a run and let Nia take the reins for a while whilst she figured out the mess in her mind. So she let Nia shift, before the white wolf started sprinting into the far distance. Belle didn’t trust Rora one bit, she couldn’t help but find it incredibly coincidental that one of the witches working with the Gylandies happened to be Henrie’s mate. Only time would tell whether they could trust Rora, and time wasn’t particularly on their side. It had been over a month since the wedding and they were no closer to putting an end to this madness, they still needed to find out who the all powerful wicked witch of the west was that was helping them, find out where there base was and then take them down. Hopefully, Rora would come through with some vital information that they could use

Belle squirmed in her sleep, her general drowsiness fighting against the feverish pleasure dancing along her neck. She hummed, briefly feeling Layke’s lips twist into a smirk against her skin. Balancing in the in-between state of being awake and fast asleep, Belle felt his rough hands gently trail down her arms, before he cupped her bare ass and pulled her closer to him. His kisses trailed down her back to her shoulder, sending little electric pleasure shots straight to her core. Not wanting to get into a battle for dominance so early in the morning, Layke took what was his and let his thick, talent finger begin stroking in and out of her while his sharp teeth continued to nibble on her shoulder. Belle’s sleep fog soon cleared up, there were no room for thoughts as the pleasure kept spiking through her body. She didn’t know if this was a dream or reality, but she didn’t care. After they had found those bodies a few days ago, her stress had been building and this was the only way she

Right on queue, Layke entered the meeting room looking just as powerful as he always did with his smart trousers and his crisp white button-up shirt, except with his top few buttons undone making Belle practically drool. Following closely behind him was Beau, Rai and Coen who all took the respective seats around the meeting table, just as Henrie and Rora swiftly entered the room. Belle stood to greet their guests, a dazzlingly smile spread across her lips. “Welcome back the both of you, thank you for joining us today.” Layke’s hand rested on the crook of Belle’s back as they waited for their guests to be seated. He was proud of Belle for giving Rora a warm welcome, despite the distrust his wife had for the witch. He cleared his throat, taking a seat besides Belle as he turned his attention to Prince Henrie. “How have things been since we last saw you?” “Tough,” Henrie sighed. “But my father is doing everything he can to help rebuild the damage that was done. People are confused. T

Belle swirled in front of the mirror, basking in the way her floor-length, wine-red velvet dress twirled around her. The off-the-shoulder leaves continued into a sweetheart neckline, before creating a silhouette down to her upper thigh where the material ended at the front. At the back, the velvet material continued into a chapel train. Her blue hair was styled in loose curls, sported in a half-up half-down do while her neck was dripping in diamonds. “Layke is going to die when he sees you in that.” Sutton grinned, putting on the final finishing touches of her own outfit. She had gone for a black corset style dress, which flowed into a short skirt amplifying her long legs. “That just means she looks hot.” Immi winked, fiddling with her bangle. “I hope Beau thinks the same about me tonight.” She sighed dreamily, doing a final look in the mirror. Immi had gone for a similar dress to Belle, only hers was emerald and rather than it being off-the-shoulder, her dress had a square neckline

The following few days had been a blur, mostly for Immi and Beau who had seemed to wrap themselves in a love bubble and held themselves hostage in Beau’s room. After they had recognised each other as their mate, the party had come to a swift end shortly after, appreciating that the two would want some time alone. Belle was over the moon for her friend, she deserved to find happiness in the overshadowing cloud of doom hovering above them. She hoped each of her friends found the happiness they deserved. But in the same moment, Belle contemplated how this mating was only going to add a further obstacle in her way when it came to leaving Avalon in less than a month’s time. Granted, there were other reasons that would make leaving extremely difficult, like the fact that she had found herself caring more and more for Layke than she ever intended too. She wasn’t ready to say the L word yet, but she could feel it brewing within her, threatening to spill above the surface each time they were

Belle had joined the training session with Beau, deciding she needed to let off some steam after her encounter with Beryl. She didn’t know who irritated her more, the Wicked Witch of the West or the Barbie doll. But either way, between the pair of them, Belle had a lot of pent-up anger. The warriors were getting into great shape, learning how to use their new strength to their advantage brilliantly and Belle was impressed by the work Beau had done so far. He’d trained them well, helping them individually figure out their strengths and weaknesses and working deeper on each of them. She could see why Beau had the title of head enforcer. Belle even got to spar with Beau for a while. He wasn’t up to Layke’s standard, meaning she had an advantage over him, but he still gave her a run for her money. When the training was done, Belle was in need of a serious shower, but first… something had been playing on her mind. “Have you seen Sierra lately?” she asked Beau, tilting her head as she wa
