Chapter 51: Life Flashed Before My Eyes
Day 12/365
VICKY
Of course, I wasn’t going to fall for Williams’ pathetic display of pleading. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy watching it. He was on his knees, looking absolutely defeated—and I hadn’t even started yet. It was a satisfying sight.
“Oh, Willy… you really are pathetic,” I said with a short laugh, crossing my arms. “You think this is how you win me back? Crying on your knees? I’m not that Vicky anymore—the one you could move with fake tears and sweet nothings.”
He looked up, his eyes watery and face red, but I wasn’t moved.
“Get up and wipe those crocodile tears. You should be preparing for what’s ahead,” I added with a smirk.
And like a puppet, he obeyed. He stood up, wiped his face, and the shift in his expression was instant—like a switch had been flipped. His face was now twisted with hatred. His eyes darkened, and his jaw clenched. The speed at which he could change skin like a chameleon was impressive—and terrifying.
