"Don't you have a work schedule? Where are you going?" Victoria, who had just stepped out of her room, was startled by Maverick's question. He was standing before his door as if waiting for her. He leaned against it, looking at her intensely before finally stepping towards her. "Tori, we-"
"Karina asked me to go shopping," Victoria said, unintentionally cutting her husband off. She asked, "Sorry, what did you say?"
Maverick remained silent for a while, looking at her, making Victoria slightly misbehave. She repeated the question, trying to reduce the awkwardness, "Verick? What did you wanna say?"
"I wanted to talk about our shared room," he replied, causing her to frown.
Maverick explained, "We can't predict whether your father, my grandmother, Karina, or any of our family will come to our house. So, it's better if we prepare for it."
"I agree with you. You can take care of that." Victoria nodded briefly. She continued, "Is there anything else?"
"Have fun."
Maverick turned and walked
