Venus's POV
I stay back, and give Alonso a glance but he is firm on his decision. So I just stand there awkwardly and watch everyone else leave with a question mark on their faces. If I left with them, then the word would spread that I was defying Alpha's orders. Alonso put me in a tough situation but I stayed back not because he asked, but because I am curious what Edna is going to do.
I look at Edna only to find her eyes already on me. I raise my eyebrow at her but she is still just staring at me. With no expression. That's when I wonder what might be going on in her mind exactly. She doesn't really look pleased to know that Ezekiel is her mate. So that also brings the question.. will she be happy if it's anyone else?
"What is happening? How is she your fiance, Alpha King?" Ezekiel asks Alonso and Alonso just tips his head towards the couch.
Edna took the couch first so I took the single seater sofa instead. Ezekiel claimed the space beside her and Alonso dragged himself a chair.
