I finally decide to walk in, and John Adams's eyes land on me. His face is already so serious and there is nothing to change in his expression. Usually his face hardens and his glare towards me changes a bit whenever Alonso is not around.
"Before jumping into conclusions, what the heck is the link between those both?" I ask him directly.
He might be the Alpha but I am The Beta of The capital pack. If I want to take him down right now, I can and I will. Usually Betas can never be above any Alphas but the power system in the capital pack works in a different way.
The Alpha King is the supreme power so to be a Beta and a Gamma to him is equivalent and even more than being an Alpha to another pack. So in terms of power, I can easily beat John Adams but I choose to stay down until the Alpha King asks me to do it.
