The engines of the parked car came to a screeching stop.
Ahneeka heaved a sigh of relief. It was finally over. Her drive across the rainy road, with her heart in her mind as she prayed fervently for her teary eyes coupled with the blurry windscreen not to land her in trouble.
She stared into space from her rolled down window to confirm if the hotel she had driven into was still open.
The busy lobby that was brimming with busy receptionists suggested the affirmative for her.
She stepped down from her car and went in, not just to crash in from the heavy rainfall, but to collect her brain together from what she had just witnessed and was running from it's emotional toil on her thoughts.
"Room 18 is the last room left, are your still interested ma'am?" The receptionist asked the second time, noticing her wandering mind.
" Yes, I will" she abruptly answered though skeptical why she was told only one room was left when more people were still at the lobby waiting to be lodged.
