"Erica is my childhood friend"
He started the conversation while we are sitting on the grass, in front of the beauty of the city lights. We even bought a can of beers and some chips, like we were having a late night picnic.
Ito 'yung lugar na pinuntahan namin ni Lace noong nalaman ko na gusto niya nga talaga ako. Ako ang nagyaya sakanya rito dahil gusto ko rin naman bumalik dito. Masyadong peaceful ang lugar na ito.
I looked at him as I am waiting for him to continue the story between him and Erica.
"Her parents were my Mom's business partner. They keep on bringing Erica in the house so I can have my playmate, since it was vacation. Our parents always had a business trip so, me and Erica will be left at home with our yaya's"
My forehead furrowed "Would you mind if I ask about your father?" I gently asked
He smiled "He's in the US, my parents got divorced the day I was born" malungkot na sabi niya
