“Aiden spoke to some man,” Aria said, her soft voice echoing through the room.
“He wasn’t bad, he just felt nice,” Aiden said, trying to defend himself.
Their words had become muffled, they had confirmed the one fear that I had. Mikhail had interacted with them.
Does he know? Did he realise that these are his heirs?
What if he wants them back? — I mean he is the Lycan King and what he says goes. No one would want to fight to save my children from him.
“Rosanne?” Anita called out softly, but I couldn’t meet her gaze, not when I knew that if I did. The dam would break loose and I would be nothing but a sobering mess.
“Kids, why don’t you get ready for bed, Uncle Axel will tell you some bedtime stories,” she said, trying to quiet down the hyper active children.
Aiden’s hand grabbed mine, drawing my attention to his face, “Mommy who was he? His eyes, they looked familiar… like I have seen him in my dreams,”
He was worried— confused, that was the better word to use.
