The sound of my phone woke up me, and when I checked, I realized that I had actually slept way into the morning, because it was almost noon. It was Sasha calling, and so with a smile on my face, I picked up the call.
“Hey girl,” Sasha greeted in her usual fancy as soon as the call connected. “Were you sleeping?” She asked almost immediately and I giggled.
That was the thing with Sasha; she always knew what was happening around me or with me without even being physically present.
“I was,” I admitted to her.
“Hmm, someone seemed to have settled in quite well, because the last time I checked, you were skeptical about going,” Sasha teased.
“Well, we got in late last night and I haven’t seen anyone yet, including my dad. So it is just Jason for now. Maybe I should go downstairs and get familiar with everyone and things around here again,” I said, but I still did not move a muscle.
“That does not sound bad at all,” Sasha said.
“Were you missing me so badly that you had to call?
