Anais's POV
They left me alone...for what felt like an eternity. I was trying to keep myself...sane.
Every now and then I'll see something move in the darkness...but I knew that was in my head. So every time that happened I would have to tell myself that it was my imagination.
It wasn't so hard to figure out what the brothers were trying to do, keeping me here like this.
They wanted me to go insane...not totally but enough so I wouldn't fight Paenoe when he marked and mated me and then finally drained me of my blood.
And I was sure their plan was working because ever so often I heard a faint whisper in the darkness. It was becoming harder to tell myself that it was my imagination.
I wanted that whisper to be true...I was scared and I didn't want to alone. I slapped myself again...hard. So hard that it made my ears ring.
