"You look different" Devon comments as his eyes watched me from across the table.
"Is that so?" I ask glancing up at him but refusing to meet his eyes.
Devon and Elijah had business to take care of for Clair, but I had to dragged into it because I know more about what they're doing than they did. I didn't want to get involved because ever since I sat down outside with them, the tension has been thick.
Neither of them spoke unless it was necessary and it was killing me.
"Yes, there's definitely something different about you" Devon acknowledged sitting up to look at me better.
"When you find what it is please inform me" I chuckled looking up with a smile.
"You're smiling, there's definitely something different" he says putting his papers down and giving me his full attention.
"Maybe I'm happier" I shrugged glancing at Elijah, who was trying so hard not to intervene.
