My thoughts were with my mate for the remaining parts of the event, and I couldn’t wait for it to be over so that I can be alone with him. I felt different wearing his mark, I felt stronger, and my need for him was becoming unbearable. The sexual drive was high. I watched him closely as he addressed the crowd, my hands reaching to caress his mark on my neck. I swallowed thickly. I was hungry, but not for food.
“You can’t wait to be alone with him, huh?” Scarlett nudged me. I turned to her and gave a weak smile. I’d almost forgotten she was seated next to me looking all radiant next to her mate. “You do not need to be shy. It’s normal,” she added with a wink.
I blushed “I feel weird,” I confessed. I looked over to where he stood again, and that’s when I saw her. My best friend. Glaring at me. She shook her head and turned from me, heading for the exit.
“Whats up with that one?” Scarlett nodded in her direction and then looked back at me.
“Old friend,” I whispered, and I shrugge
