We returned home, and I cursed everyone.
The situation was really bad. I thought Lorenzo was going to do something stupid. I had suspected it, but this was something from another planet. The jerk was much bolder than I thought; daring to attack me directly in such a bad way was dirty.
“Get me on a group call with the other capos,” I said to Nicola, and my friend looked at me impressed. “Do it.”
“What do you intend to do?” asked Nicola without hesitation.
“Cashing favors and alliances,” I said briskly. "Lorenzo Moretti attacked me in my house, under my good faith, violating all common sense. For me, he can go to hell."
Nicola nodded and made the call.
