Erica:
The week was busy and filled with so much activity. We got reinforcements from other packs and planned an assault on Hazan’s stronghold in the south. The majority of the pack was evacuated and Dante’s rich friends donated billions to the war.
I stood over the table with Clarissa, Lorenzo, Dante, Javier and Robert, reviewing the plans for the attack again. By this time, I had it almost committed to memory.
“Do you think we need to make any changes?”
“Yeah…”
All eyes turned to Javier. This was the fifth time this week that he has tried to make changes to the battle strategy. It had better be worth it.
“... We should invade from the West side. They will be vulnerable there. The topography favours stealth.”
Robert frowned.
“I am beginning to doubt that you actually pay attention to these meetings. I explained before that Hazan has had months to explore that terrain. We will be useless there. Our only option is a straight attack.”
