Patrick’s POV
Lexie had been so strange during the time she spent at my house, so different from the first time she came. I didn't know if it was the house or the families present that made her this way. At the first opportunity she had, she escaped to the kitchen, exactly like she used to do when she was a child and didn't want to be exposed at occasions when there were many people at her house. I would even ask Wanda what they talked about so much, but I was certain I'd receive an evasive answer.
After lunch, as soon as we left the table, she made an excuse that she had arranged to meet Melissa, but I knew she wanted to leave. She was so transparent to me.
