“Where’s Clarissa??” Lucas asked. He pulled on his tie as he waited for an answer.
“She’s in her garden.” Mrs Chen said flatly. She had somehow become lonely now that Granny Reed had returned to her mansion. She had no one to watch TV with anymore and to bicker with.
Lucas frowned slightly. “It’s late.” He checked his wristwatch. It was 7 PM.
“Yeah. She came in earlier looking solemn. After eating, she went to her garden and has been there since.”
Lucas handed his bag and coat to Mrs Chen before exiting the living room and heading straight to the garden at the back house.
His black shoes hit the gravel on the hard floor as he made way to the garden. He saw Clarissa sitting on the rock in the middle of her garden.
