Sabrina opened her mouth to resist but she never did. Adrian gave her a stern look that made her shut up. She immediately lowered her head and pointed to the dining table.
Adrian didn’t even spare her another look, instead he sat down and started eating.
Roman and I also took our seats on the table next to each other.
I was so excited to be home, the food didn’t even matter to me. Seeing Roman by my side, chatting and smiling was all that I needed to feel better—he really did lift my low spirits.
Roman being Roman started telling us stories about his school. But the last story warmed my heart.
