Author’s POV
The Jones mansion soon came into view. The three alighted from the car and entered in to the house. Alice was still fuming furiously just remembering that her grandfather took that bitch’s side.
Mr. Jones’s dropped in to his usual seat, looking exhausted. While pouring his whiskey, he didn’t forget to warn Alice “Next time, don’t get in to trouble with Rose.”
Alice stomped her legs pitifully as tears travelled on her delicate cheeks “But why Grand pa? I’m supposed to be your favorite. Why are you taking her side?”
He looked at her with a serious face and snapped impatiently “Just do what I tell you.” He paused for a drink” I’m doing this for your own good.”
Sometimes, he wondered what the hell he was supposed to do with Alice. She was so childish. He must have spoiled her too much.
” For my own good….” Alice sniffed her nose, clueless of what her grand pa was insinuating.
