“What the fuck happened?” I asked in shock upon seeing even more clearly how fucked up Layland's face was. His face and his lips were filled with cuts, and it was starting to swell, while his nose was slightly crooked and was bleeding. His eyes were also bloodshot.
From his face, my gaze went down to his body. His clothes were dirty, a total mess, which was enough for me to know that his body underneath his clothes was surely just as fucked up as his face.
My eyes went back to Layland’s face. “Are you okay?” But Layland was going out of it already, so he couldn’t answer my question anymore, which led me to turn my attention to Zach instead. But before I could even ask him, he already beat me to it.
“I’ll answer all your questions later. For now, we need to take him home and be out of their nosy assholes’ sights.”
I frowned. “What do you mean we’re taking him home? We are taking him to a hospital!”
