“Finally!” Layland exclaimed when I informed him that we can now go home after staying at the hospital overnight.
“Do you need help?” I asked him as he was trying to get out of the bed.
“I’m fine,” he easily responded, but still ended up wincing the moment he tried to sit down.
I shook my head and sighed. “There is nothing wrong in admitting that you’re in pain, you know?” I told him as I made my way to assist him in getting out of the bed.
He pouted. “I am not in so much pain for me to be asking for help from you,” he said, but did nothing to stop me from helping him.
