I was probably insulting his office. Okay, I was insulting his office, I doubted there was anything that Grayson was afraid of. Grayson throws me an annoyed look across his shoulder, his gaze saying more than his words will, before going over to pick up Marie by the back of her dress, keeping her away from his treasured pet.
"Stay away from him" He chastises the child and Marie sticks her tongue at him. "Don't blame me if he eats you"
"He'll do that?" I asked appalled by his statement.
"If he's annoyed enough"
"Tell him not to" I demand
"He doesn't listen to anything I say"
"What's the point of having a pet if it doesn't listen?!"
Grayson stiffens as if my words have caused him offense.
