"You need to ensure that you're eating properly" A female voice says to Leila.
Their both outside sharing a quiet moment, though the intruder is unaware of my prying eyes or presence. It's probably the reason why Leila was this comfortable, all tensness gone from her shoulders.
"I am, but really, there's no need to check up on me everyday"
"It's the only way I'll know if you're both doing well"
"There's still a few more months to go" Leila rubs her bump proudly. "It's not like I'm going to run away"
"I wouldn't know" The human female responds her voice flat. "This is my only insurance"
I walk back out the house towards where Leila sits, holding out my hand for her. A small smile and she takes my hand without fuss, which is odd even for her. Ever since that accident she's been pliant. I know she wants me to say what happened, but the last thing I want her is distressed when she's this close to delivering our child.
