"Everyone!" Marvin shouted, catching everyone’s attention. Martin was no longer around because he had left earlier. Everyone turned to look at him, he smiled widely and pointed at Roberto and his family. "See that guy?" he asked.
Isabel was already feeling embarrassed and wanted to leave. This night shouldn't have been for them, but they were being made the laughingstock because of what Esteban had said. "In two weeks, join me and visit their new house. Can you believe it? They actually bought a house." Everyone laughed, except Roberto.
No one believed them because they assumed the family couldn't afford it. "Maybe their house is even bigger than yours, Marvin!" shouted another old friend of the two. Everyone laughed.
