The telephone was ringing incessantly and I spun around in my office chair and picked it up, “Hello?”
I listened for a while and then smiled, “I assure you Mr. Ramirez, you are doing the right thing partnering with us. We will double your portfolio in a space of seven months. No other firm out there guarantees such returns.”
I listened for a little while again and then I slammed down the receiver smiling. That was the second deal I was closing today, I felt really good about everything.
Since that witch of an ex-wife left my life, things had been going good and great for me, I could not just wait for her trial to commence and for her to be permanently locked up.
My phone buzzed and I turned to look at it, it was a message from my bank.
A debit alert, I frowned. Was the bank up to their usual antics of deducting money for bogus charges?
“What!” I yelled jumping up from my seat.
I must not have been seeing this right, I rubbed my eyes and looked at the debit alert again, $250,000!
