I can still feel the softness of her skin in the palm of my hand. Her damn sounds still fill my ears, disturbing my sleep at night. And her mouth projects inside my head, drawing a perfect image before my eyes. It's irritating to know that she is still so present inside my system minute after minute, lasting for hours.
I need to end this!
"Mr. Bennett, I brought the new contracts and the plans you asked for earlier," Anne, my secretary, says, entering my office and pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Thank you, Anne! Has Mr. Abravanel arrived yet?"
"Not yet. Oh, Mr. Vitton and Dr. Lina asked me to mark your presence at the wedding anniversary dinner."
I huff annoyed.
"I'm not going. Make up an excuse. Say I had to make an emergency trip..."
"No excuses, David Bennett!" The melodious yet impertinent sound of Lina invades my office, making me roll my eyes internally, and at the same moment, I dismiss my secretary. "It's my wedding anniversary, and you need to be there, brother," she
