Katrina’s Point of View
I stood by, watching him as everyone gave their briefings about the last three days, but there was no mention of the attack last night on me.
It was like everything was moving so fast. From the attacks in Silver Ridge to the one Bianca is about to lead.
“Deputy Commander? How many men can you spare?” Lucius suddenly asked me, bringing me back from my train of thought. “Well, we can give her fifty men. Considering we are also dealing with evacuating Civilians” I say to him as he pauses, bringing his hand to his jaw, gently stroking it.
“Evacuating? I thought that it was ensuring their safety. Where will we take over five hundred civilians?” Bianca asked, “And what makes you think they will not turn on us once we attack their pack?”
“Because they are hostages.” I retorted, and she chuckled dryly, shaking her head.
“People form bonds. Do you think they will just stand and watch you kill the people who have been their families?”
