Soon we were ready and I came out with Leo and my nanny. Rowan and the other guard flanked me as we made our way toward the garage. We took the car Damien had prepared for us. It was one of the newest cars in the garage. Damien actually told me it's my car, like he bought it for me.
I am still shocked by the news and I still can’t bring myself to call it my car yet. I am even afraid to drive in it. The Damien of yesterday will never allow me to get near any of his cars, not to mention giving me the keys to one. But now he has actually bought a brand new one for me. I smiled as we got in, silently admiring the interior.
The morning sun was high and warm as we made our way through the quiet roads leading to my parents’ home. The nanny held Leo gently, cooing at him as he babbled and kicked his tiny feet, full of energy as always. We were both seated at the back of the car while Rowan and the second guard, Mark, were in the front.
