LUCIAN
The familiar scent of burning incense filled my senses, causing my eyes to flutter open. Relief washed through my body as light shone into my eyes. I had lost consciousness after screaming my lungs out in that field.
“Lucian, you are awake aren’t you?” my brows shot up the sound of the taunting voice, even though it had been a long time since I last spoke to him I could still remember the voice anywhere, I was sure it was no one else but the son of a bastard, Salvador Vlad.
“Is that you, Salvador?” I asked, swinging my head to the side. I expected pain to shoot through my body as I roughly moved my head, but nothing like that happened. Even my palms weren’t aching or peeling. It felt like nothing had happened.
I heard a hum from the other side, followed by the popping of Salvador’s face above mine. His lips stretched into a dark smirk, then he chuckled in a taunting manner, running his eyes over my sweaty body.
‘’Are you okay now? You looked like you would die just some minute
