Before a scream could escape my lips, Damion dragged me down to the ground and clasped his hand against my mouth.
My eyes were as wide as saucers as I stared at the huge creature which didn't have any features of a wolf or a Lycan. It looked like a beast, a terrible-looking beast!
Damion's grip on my hand tightened and I could tell that he was staring at what I was staring at.
“We need to leave this place immediately," he whispered, showering my neck with his hot breath.
I nodded my head, my eyes and attention fixed on the beast which stood at a large clearing, perhaps waiting for any slight noise from its prey
We needed no one to tell us that the prey it was waiting for was the both of us.
Damion helped me up to my feet and signaled for me to keep quiet and remain cautious.
I obeyed him and followed his steps, lifting my feet slowly after the other, even my breath was kept low.
Though, I was afraid that the loud thumping of my heart could betray us.
