My heart began to break, bit by bit as I stared at her pale face. My breath began to cease and my body started going stiff as well. I felt my breath leaving me and it felt like death was staring right at my face, laughing mockingly at me.
Tears dropped from my eyes. As I lay still, letting him choke me down to the abyss. I was dying, yet I wasn't struggling.
What was there to struggle about? I had lost everything. People had died because of me, even those who tried to save me.
“Die, you little witch! Die!” He groaned, clenching harder onto my neck.
Somehow, the pain wasn't there anymore. It felt like he was doing nothing, yet I could see my life slipping out of my grasp. I wanted no one to save me any longer.
