Killian jolted up from the bed, his eyes as wide as saucers.
“V…Valerie?” he stammered, his lips trembling in shock. Valerie lifted her gaze in his direction and scanned his body with her cold eyes, showing no emotion.
“Do you two know each other?” the doctor suddenly asked, staring confusedly at our faces.
I sighed and threw my head back, unable to say a word.
“Uhm… I forgot to tell you, Orpheus, but she is their mate,” Sabastian chipped in like he randomly does. The doctor gasped and swerved around, staring at Valerie with widened eyes.
“You… you are a werewolf?!” he exclaimed with a dropped jaw.
It was merely possible to recognize where Valerie was from outside the wolf lands. Aside from the fact that she was an Omega, I was certain something else was preventing her abilities and scent from being known.
“Yes. What has that got to do with me working as an intern for you?” she replied curtly, knocking the old man’s head to the side.
I wasn’t surprised that she hadn’t changed
