I sat right in front of her, as her gaze focused right on me, with no hint of movement.
I couldn't tell if she was still mad, pissed off, sad or just annoyed as her eyes were dead cold and blunt, leaving no room for reading.
One thing is for sure, she certainly has raised her wall around me right back up again.
I'm not surprised though, after everything she had just seen in those files, anyone certainly would have missed understood.
This certainly wasn't the way I planned this to go. Now I just need to find a way to make her trust and believe in me once again.
But knowing my wife, that certainly will be one hell of a challenge.
“Kiara,” I called softly as I stared right at her, trying to see if there was still hope she could believe me right now.
