JORDAN'S POV
"It's quite easy to make demands like that when you're sitting safe behind an office desk, isn't it?" I spat out before I could stop myself.
Something about the woman made me want to vomit. She irritated the fuck out of me and I was always fighting the urge to simply wring her throat with my bare hands.
"Excuse you?" Her eyes were oozing fire as she trained them on me.
"There's just three of us. And yet we're constantly being pitted against a full army of wolves by ourselves."
"You're Alphas." She deadpanned like that could justify everything in the world.
"Doesn't make us infallible." I bit back. "Maybe if the board could be a little bit more considerate about the kinds of missions we were sent on, we wouldn't have a revenge on our hands now."
My tone was becoming a lot more disrespectful with each word that came out of my mouth and I noticed my brother stiffen beside me. One of his palms dropped on my thighs, calming me down without words.
