Contrary to my expectation, Izer’s foot remained between the doors of the elevator keeping it open until I was inside, standing by his side.
He pressed the button for the penthouse and stepped back. Fire burned between us, and it only threatened to consume me right now.
He had been angry before. Yes, I had a knack for infuriating him but he had never acted like this.
I sighed, sealing my lips just like him. I was stubborn too. He was not the only one.
We reached the top floor. Izer exited the elevator and left me alone inside once again. My eyes glared at his back until he disappeared behind the main door of the penthouse.
I followed him quietly. The door was left open, letting me enter without having to go through the trouble of punching in the stupid code.
I searched for him first thing after coming inside. I was not surprised to find him walking to our bedroom, completely disregarding me.
I didn’t go up behind him. I sat down on the couch and threw my bag beside me.
