CHAPTER FORTY THREE
DAMON Point of View
I stood before my pack of rogues, my eyes scanning the crowd as I began to speak. "I've called this emergency meeting to inform you of a stranger's visit," I said, my voice low and serious. A murmur ran through the crowd, a low rumbling sound that grew louder as I continued. "He's requesting something from us, something that I'm not sure we're willing to give." The murmur turned into a chorus of growls and snarls, the rogues exchanging uneasy glances. I raised my hands, calling for silence. "Wait, let me finish," I ordered. "The stranger claims to have information about the strange people who attacked our territory. But he's only willing to share that information if we give him the diamond." One of the rogues, a burly male with a scar above his eye, spoke up. "You can't be serious, Damon," he said, his voice laced with incredulity. "We can't just hand over the diamond like that. It's the heart of our territory, the source of our power." I nodd
