The high end restaurant Richard took me to was a little too intimate for a business lunch. But I didn't make my opinion known. Instead I admired the place. The high ceilings, chandeliers and chocolate and gold color scheme. Everything looked radiant, welcoming and almost romantic.
I couldn't wait to come back here later with Rhea and Evelyn for a girl's night or something.
My gaze drifted to Richard who was seated from across like he owned the place. He fit right in like a glove, calm, composed, a master of his own universe. It would have been a mesmerizing sight if his asshole-ness wasn't so glaring.
He was on his phone again, talking to someone. He'd been on it since we got here, which was about five minutes ago.
“It's better we continue this in person.” He said to whoever was on the other end of the call, his expression a mixture of boredom and annoyance.
“I understand your point Mr Kim but I can't accept that deal.” He replied after a pause.
