Liliana's Point of View
Asher was currently getting dressed in his business suit, and I was going with him to his company today. He said he wanted to bring me along so he could show me around—which, honestly, made me happy.
“Wife?”
I looked up at him and saw him holding out his necktie, a small smile playing on his lips. I couldn’t help but smile too—he wanted me to be the one to tie it for him.
I stepped forward, took the necktie, and gently looped it around his neck. I was glad I no longer felt awkward around him. It wasn’t like before, when it felt like there was a wall between us—maybe because he used to be my boss.
We were getting closer to the day we’d finally announce our “relationship” to everyone. This was all still part of my plan to get back at Gerald.
I noticed Asher staring at me, which made me raise an eyebrow.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You’re beautiful.”
