Amy followed Wendy to the club, and they sat in an outdoor booth.
By this time, quite a number of people had arrived. They were all dressed to impress.
Even so, Amy felt uneasy. She adjusted her dress and took a sip of her drink to calm her nerves.
Wendy noticed Amy’s actions and felt frustrated. “Amy, I didn’t bring you here to sit around. Go meet some handsome guys.”
“No way!” Amy shook her head and refused firmly.
Wendy grimaced. “Why not? Out of all these people, there’s not one you’re interested in?”
In fact, Amy had not found anyone she was interested in.
“Wendy, don’t worry about me. I’m not interested,” Amy explained once again.
Wendy pouted and glanced around. “Just because you’re not, doesn’t mean others aren’t. I’ve seen several guys eyeing you.”
