Beep.
I hadn’t slept a wink. I was too scared that if I closed my eyes—even for just a second—something bad would happen to her. Someone would walk in and take her from me.
It’s been two days now. I hadn’t left her side.
The pack healer was still on the run, and I was losing my shit.
I sat in a chair next to her bed, gripping the edge of the mattress so tightly my knuckles turned white.
“You need to wake up,” I muttered, staring at her almost lifeless body.
The color and warmth in her face were completely gone.
The sight made my jaw clench, and I reached for her hand.
