Amaya’s POV
The sound echoed down the hallway. My eyes widened as Suri’s head snapped to the side, and she covered her cheek with her hand. She staggered back from the force of the blow, her eyes filling with tears.
My entire body stiffened — and worse, Kara’s smile deepened.
“Pathetic,” she spat. And when Suri opened her mouth, she yelled again. “Did I tell you to speak?” She stepped closer, landing another slap on Suri’s face.
