Emma’s POV
"Sebastian, what’s wrong?" My voice shook as I crouched beside him on the floor, my heart pounding so hard it physically hurt, badly.
He clutched at his own chest, his hand trembling, his face pale and drenched in sweat. His lips moved, but at first, no sound came out. Finally, in a voice so weak it was barely audible, he gasped, "My heart… hurts."
I froze for a second. The heart transplant surgery from three years ago. Oh God. No. This had never happened before, was he having complications? My own heart beat faster at that.
"Sebastian, stay with me," I said, my voice still shaky as I fumbled to pull my phone out of my pocket. My fingers shook so much I almost dropped it. I jabbed at the screen, dialing emergency services.
"911, what’s your emergency?" came a voice on the other end.
