“Grace, from today, the boss wants you to work directly under him. You’re to go upstairs.”
My brain completely stopped working.
Upstairs. Directly under Apollo.
A soft, bewildered laugh escaped my lips as I shook my head. “Ah… I must’ve lost my mind. Yeah. That’s it. I’ve officially gone crazy.”
There was absolutely no way. No way in actual hell that I, Grace would be working under that demon. Me?

I looked at Mr. Aiden, waiting for the punchline so we could all laugh together, but he was staring straight at me. He was fucking dead serious.
I pointed at myself, one eyebrow arched. “Me?”
He said, “As far as I know, you’re the only Grace here, aren’t you?” Then he turned to the woman beside me. “Sienna, what did Chase say again?”
The woman checked her tablet and replied, “Hmm, he said the one with the big glasses, short and blonde hair, and clothes that look like she’s going to the library.”
