Lucas fell silent for some time before speaking again.
"Let's talk about you and Timothy, then. When did you guys get together? Don't worry. I won't get mad. I just want to know."
Chelsey replied inwardly, "I was never with Tim. It's all in your imagination."
However, she gave Lucas an unsatisfactory answer instead.
"I don't remember."
Lucas found himself letting his imagination run wild. He was convinced that Chelsey and Timothy had been together for a long time. That was why she could not recall the specific period.
He speculated that perhaps they had gotten together before Chelsey and Lucas were married.
